MobileMachines Support - Answers
1. What does it mean when my phone says "Data Error 406 - Content Not Acceptable"? [back to top]
This error simply means that for one reason or another your cell phone was not able to accept the JAD and/or JAR contents as they were sent to you. In some cases you may be able to re-download the program though this is rather unlikely.
2. What does it mean when my phone says "Data Error 904 - Size Mismatched"? [back to top]
This error means that there was a mismatch in the JAD file and the actual JAVA compressed file (JAR file). If this happens, please contact us and somebody will investigate the problem. If you know how, you can download the JAR file directly and send it to your phone.
3. When I run the program I downloaded, my phone says "Game/Application Terminated". [back to top]
Though this error message may vary slightly from phone to phone, the error simply means that your phone does not support the application. Unfortunately, there is no way around this error.
4. The program does not appear to take up my full screen size. [back to top]
Many games and applications are designed for specific cell phone models and consequently designed with specific resolutions in mind. It may just be chance that the application is working on your phone. Check the application settings (if they exist) for screen resolution adjustments. If this does not work, you'll simply have to view the screen size as is.
5. Are all of the games on this website free? [back to top]
Yes. The intention of this website is to ONLY provide users with absolutely free games. In some cases the games MAY be demos, but this is not intentional. If you notice anything on here that appears to be copyrighted, please let us know and we will promptly remove it.
6. Can I have a game or application of my own added to this website? [back to top]
Yes. If you have programs that you would like to distribute, please contact us and we'll get them online for you.
7. How come some of the programs I download are put into my games folder while others are placed elsewhere? [back to top]
The JAD file that we provide your cell phone with has instructions on where the application is to be placed. While we have tried to ensure that all programs are placed in the appropriate location on your phone, this is not always possible. In some cases, your phone may place the application elsewhere on your device. If you notice any particularly strange installations, please contact us.
8. What is the real purpose of this site? [back to top]
It's exactly what it seems like - to provide people with free games and applications for their cell phones.
9. Why can't I view the HTTP directory content listing? [back to top]
There are multiple ways throughout this website to download all of the available content for absolutely no charge. We have closed off the HTTP directory listings for security reasons.
10. Can I advertise on your site? [back to top]
It isn't the intention of the site to start advertising, but if you'd like to make an offer, feel free to contact us.
11. Can I use wget or other similar UNIX tools to download all of the programs? [back to top]
No. For security reasons, the directories have been locked down and all downloads go through ID pointers. For this reason alone, wget should not work for this task.
12. Is there a specific cell phone provider these applications work for? [back to top]
No. The applications on this website should work with any cell phone. That being said, some of the games will work on some phones and not on others.
